"You will try and get this right tonight, won't you Frank?"
"Excuse me Betty, I always try."
"I know you do, but -"
"No one could be more trying than me."

Frank has returned from yet another disastrous job interview, but Betty has some pretty big news of her own. With Frank preoccupied by his potential newfound fame as a magician, will Betty find the right time to break the news of her pregnancy? With guests arriving for dinner, the BBC on their way and crossed wires all round, priceless misunderstandings are on the menu.

Hilarious mishaps and DIY disasters bring the house down, quite literally in this ensemble farce. In the true spirit of the TV original, Frank brings his own unique blend of mayhem to the stage. With daring stunts, broad physical comedy, a fantastic 70's soundtrack and a gaggle of hilarious one-liners, fans old and new will find plenty to love in this affectionate homage to the original TV phenomenon.

"Joseph O'Malley's production hits its marks as a tribute without being slavish about it...it really made me laugh."âœâœâœâœ
The Sunday Times

"No one could accuse the venture, ably directed by Joseph O'Malley, of laziness. In its flurry of well-timed slapstick - from exploding lights and collapsing scenery, to doors repeatedly slammed in the face of visitors - the evening is the equal of The Play that Goes Wrong; it achieves the logic of a bona fide stage farce." âœâœâœâœ
The Telegraph

"Non-stop laughter and relentless comedy...two hours of pure comic escapism and gentle silliness for all the family."âœâœâœâœâœ
The Wilts and Glos Standard
